Joanna Leigh Downing is a film director, cinematographer and photographer. She has a portfolio of short films that were awarded and recognized for Best Concept and Short-Short: Brightside Tavern Film Festival, for her coming of age short, "Paige and Riley." Additionally, she also was awarded Best Writer for her short, "The Letter," at Atlantic City Cinefest.
While creating her own films, Joanna has been a Production Assistant on multiple music videos in collaboration with production companies such as 5 Towns Productions, HappyImSad + Superfriends Productions, Sparkplugz Productions, and Sleepy Studios. She has also been the intern-studio assistant at 3 Chicks That Click Photography. She creates behind the scenes videos promoting the company.
Currently, Joanna is in post-production for her latest short film, "For My Grandma." This is a coming of age piece about reconnecting to faith and the importance of family and community through the loss of a loved one.
